Gathered & Scattered
Aug 26, 2012 • Kevin Deyette • Acts 2:42-47, Acts 1:8
The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone. God intends for us as His family, His body, His church to gather. When we gather there is encouragement, instruction, remembrance, prayer - gathering is great! We enjoy gathering because most of our week is spent scattered to work, home and life outside of the gathering. Gathering is needed to keep the lamp burning bright but the lamp is needed most in the darkness of our world. Christians scatter in order to bring the light to our neighborhoods, sports teams, work places, schools...
The Church is meant to Gather. The Church is meant to Scatter. We are the Church.
